At BabyBox Partner Hospitals, every mom receives a free baby photo shoot as a gift.
The partnership between hospitals and BabyBox makes it possible for professional baby photographers to capture your little one's first day safely and comfortably at the hospital. You don't need to go anywhere, the service is part of everyday life, just like learning to bathe your baby or breastfeeding consultation. Along with the discharge report, you'll receive a birth announcement card with your baby's photo and first most important personal details. If you'd like distant relatives and friends to be able to visit the little one virtually, all you need to do is ask for your son's or daughter's photo to be uploaded to the hospital's online baby gallery. And best of all, you don't have to pay anything for all of the above, because all of this is a gift from BabyBox and Partner Hospitals. We are proud to be able to provide this to every mom.
Our baby photographers are present at hospitals 5-6 days a week. You don't need to do anything, as baby photography is part of the hospital program, so the baby photographers will find you. The photo shoot takes place in comfortable conditions, together with you, as you shouldn't miss out on this experience. If you feel like it and have the energy, you can actively help with the photo shoot by arranging and dressing your baby, etc. And for a few photos, we'll definitely need your hands.
You don't need to prepare anything for the photo shoot, as we have everything you might need. Nevertheless, you can bring a cute little outfit or personal accessory for your baby, which will make the photos even cuter and more unique. Most hospitals allow you to change your baby for the photo shoot, but check the hospital website and baby galleries for details.
The photo shoot usually takes place on your baby's second day, and with all the setup, it takes about 20-25 minutes. Of course, your baby's decisions greatly influence the time needed. Don't despair if some crying photos are taken, because those can be very cute too. But you can count on our experienced photographers, they will help you know what to do in such situations. If necessary, they will come back to you once the little one has calmed down. A little crying is no obstacle :)
Your baby's photo will be uploaded to the hospital's online baby gallery on the day of the photo shoot (of course, only if you give written consent), so everyone can view the professional photos in the evening, where your baby becomes a star already on their second day of life.
